Bloomberg slams US energy law over corn ethanol
Ok. So Mr. Bloomberg, our current mayor, and I finally have something in common and that is something we can work with.
Mr. Bloomberg told the United Nations yesterday that upping production of ethanol would lead to world starvation. Now he’s got their attention!
We the readers of 2008! Kate! know that greenhouse gas emissions are increased in ethanol’s production via land use. We know that the use of land and resources for ethanol production are not efficient; that there are better alternative fuels. We know the High Order of the Day is a better mass transit system; one that does not consume a whole state’s electricity; one that actually serves the people.
So let us take a moment to reflect on the Verbiage of Presidential ‘08…
